How Do I Turn Off Siri on AirPods?

If Siri is more of a problem than a solution on your Apple AirPods, you can’t turn it off completely, but you can tweak some settings to keep it from interrupting when you’re listening to something.

  • First, make sure your AirPods are in and actively connected to your iPhone.

That should turn Siri off on your iPods. You’ll still be able to use it through your iPhone when your AirPods are connected, but you can no longer control Siri with your AirPods, which means you won’t also accidentally activate it without the wake words, “Hey Siri.”

Why Does Siri Keep Coming on When I Have AirPods In?

If you’re having trouble with Siri coming on when you have your AirPods in, it could be you’re accidentally activating it with a double-touch on the AirPods, or Siri is listening for the wake words and hears similar words. You can stop this from happening, too, but turning off the ability for Siri to listen for and respond to “Hey Siri.”

On the iPhone or iPad your AirPods are connected to, go to Settings > Siri & Search. Then toggle off:

Doing this should turn Siri off, so there is no chance you can accidentally activate it either by voice or by pressing the wrong button.
