Windows 10 has launched, but not everyone will be getting the operating system today, as Microsoft will be upgrading everyone on phases: first Windows Insiders will get the upgrade, then those who reserved a free copy will begin to get notified in the coming days or weeks.

Although, many users may be fine waiting a little longer, other users may just want to start upgrading today. While this is not possible for everyone on day one, Microsoft has also released the ISO files to perform a clean install of Windows 10. However, the download tool will allow you not only create a bootable media to perform a clean install, but also it allows users to perform an upgrade of Windows 10.

As such, if you can’t wait, you can check my previous post on how to download the ISO files for Windows 10 to perform the upgrade. Basically, you only need to download the setup tool and when prompted simply choose the option “Upgrade this PC now” and follow the on screen directions. After the installation process completes, you’ll be walked through the out-of-box experience to configure the operating system to your needs.
