After Kinect for Windows introduction back in 2011, Microsoft now has announced that the commercial availability of the hardware and software package is going to be available in early 2012 — to be more specific February 1st –, the company made the official announcement in CES last night.

At first the Kinect for Windows hardware and software package will be available in limited quantities with the suggested retail price of $249.99 (USD.). It will also be available in 12 different countries, it will include one-year warranty and software update, and for those educational users who qualify Kinect will cost $149.99.

 And yes, Kinect will have support for Windows 7 as well as for Windows 8 Developer Preview.
