Microsoft seems satisfied with the work done and has announced that Windows 8 development is now complete. The next step for the company is to ship the final Release to Manufacture (RTM) build in the coming days to partner companies to start building Windows PCs and mobile devices with the new OS and have them ready at the Windows 8 launch on October 26th.

The company also is saying that TechNet and MSDN subscribers will be able to download the final build 9200.16384.win8_rtm.120725-1247 on August 15th. Volume License customers will be able to buy Windows 8 using Microsoft Volume License Resellers on September 1st, and Microsoft Assurance customers will have the green light to download the final version on August 16th. Even though the software giant has completed the development of its latest operating system, they will carefully continue monitoring the real world use of Win 8 and they will make any change if necessary.

Finally the Windows Store is set to go live on August 15th and Microsoft Surface (Windows 8 tablet) will ship on October 26th with the new OS.
