Microsoft is once again reducing the Surface Pro prices by 100$, now the professional version of the tablet (gen-one) starts at $699 for the 64GB model, $799 for the 128GB model, and $999 for the 256GB model.

Although the news isn’t a big surprise as Microsoft has been known to cut prices on its line of Surface. It’s surprising to see the Surface Pro still for sell, despite the company previous announcement about stop selling them as soon Surface Pro 2 releases, which that happened on October 22nd, 2013.

In any way this is a good news, because this device still a great device to buy, but it’s worth mentioning that in the Surface section at the online Microsoft Store you won’t be seeing the first generation of the professional tablet, you have to dig in a deeper.

The promotional offer is only available for US and Canada customers. Apparently the reduce price is permanent, but it isn’t clear if Microsoft is only trying to clear stock, which it could also mean that once stocks are cleared we won’t be seeing Surface Pro anymore as the company is focusing in the new Surface 2 line.

Update: The discount isn’t permanent, it’s only valid until December 31st, 2013.
