Sometimes it can be hard to keep up with all the upgrades, pretty much every year PC manufacturers release an updated model of a particular device, and Microsoft is not the exception. After a year of releasing the Surface Pro 3, the software giant has refreshed its tablet with the new Surface Pro 4 and it has also introduced the Surface Book.
However, if you want to keep having the latest and greatest, Microsoft is now offering a Surface trade-in program that get you up to $700 for your old Surface tablet for the purchase of a new Surface Pro 4, and knowing that the new tablet starts at $799, the trade-in program may just give you a healthy discount.
Of course, in order to get the top $700, you’ll have to trade-in a Surface Pro 3 with an Intel Core i7 processor and 512GB SSD, along with the Type Cover, and don’t forget the power supply. In addition, the tablet must power on and hold the battery charge during regular use, all the components have to be in working condition and it must not have cracks anywhere. Basically, it has to work in the way you would expect to be when buying a refurbished product.
The Surface trade-in program is a 4-step process, which include determining the value, sending your old Surface, then you’ll receive an email with a promo code, and finally you can use the product code to purchase a new Surface Pro 4.
It’s important to note that while the online Surface trade-in program has ended, the program continues at your local Microsoft Store, but you must act quickly if you want to upgrade your device, as you must redeem the promo code before December 7, 2015. For more details, visit the online or local Microsoft Store.
