The Minecraft 1.17 update features a new creature which is glowing squid. Yes, a squid that glows. This blue-colored luminescence mob starts with dark ocean blue color and ends up with a nice blend of light blue at the end of its tentacles.
Where to Find Glow Squids in Minecraft?
You can find glowing squids in the Ocean biomes of Minecraft. Go deep underwater where there is no light whatsoever. Any area that has even the slightest rays of light will not have a glow squid spawn. So explore the depths of the ocean and you should see a couple of these hanging out together.
How To Find Glowing Squids in Minecraft?
Glow Squids in Minecraft are pretty easy to spot. To find them, what you can do is simply get on a boat and sail around exploring the dark areas of the nearest Ocean biome in Minecraft. Refrain for any area that is near a coral reef as this area will not have the glow squid spawn. These squids are pretty easy to spot from the surface itself no matter how deep they are in the ocean. So keep exploring the biome from the surface itself and you should be able to get some of these boys.
However, keep in mind that Axolotls will attack these squids so do not keep them nearby. Once they get killed, however, they will drop glowing ink sacks which can be used to craft signs and frames that glow in the dark. Apart from that, you can use them to find underwater caves in the ocean biomes of Minecraft.
